Enrique Ramirez

A man of many faces, Enri adores the chance to seem like someone he's not. He adopts the style and mannerisms of whoever he needs to be, treating the whole endeavor like accepting a role in a massive stage production. And whenever he takes on a role, he studies its nuances meticulously. Enri will learn whatever new skill he must in order to craft the most believable performance.

Proficient in disguises, but prefers to use that type of deception more to aid in stealth; if you were chasing a spry, young musketeer why would you spare a second glance for a shuffling, hunched old trashpicker? And this is only helped by his application of magic, when appropriate.

Cursed with a restless soul and an inquiring mind, Enri never stays in one place for long. He's typically in pursuit of secrets ferreted away, regardless of source, and will only cease in the pursuit of one if another of equal or greater value becomes an urgent priority. Political or economic secrets amuse Enri, but most important of all to him are magical secrets.

The only secrets he has no interest in are those to extend the span of ones life, naturally or otherwise. Why in the world would anyone in their right mind want to live forever?

A man running scared from a past he'd insist wasn't worth mention.

Enri clawed his way up from nothing with a mix of spite and desperation and he intends to keep the lifestyle he leads: free and not lacking for anything. He won't be tied down by another and he has the uncanny ability to make a sudden exit from thickening plots on his life.

Which leads us back to why he's running. When he was young, Enri stumbled upon a lesser Fae court and managed to earn a boon. From then, he took to amassing favors and completing tasks for all manner of non-humans (mostly Fae) until he caught the attention of the Winter Court. While he was embroiled in his usual plots, he found himself named Champion and ensnared in one of theirs.

He would have wound up trapped there in the lands of Winter forever, if not for a few surprises he'd kept for such a rainy day. Through a mix of sword, dagger, and enchanted song, coupled with intimate knowledge of his enemies, he managed to break out back into the mundane world. But he still hears the songs of Winter as often as he sings his own. If he can't find a way to break their hold he knows they'll find him again, and if he goes back he'll never be free.
